Beowulf is a very captivating story. At first I did not understand but in the second episode I really got into it. I like the fact that he could beat this huge maneating beast with his bare hands he was just so strong but he was a normal guy. he also had lots courage and never feared anything as he went on to greatness. the story also confused me the way they just talked about different topics in the middle of the story.
The Anglos were like the Beowulf stroy becuase the both had these great warrior kings that were beloved and respected. The Anglos also had a hero named thor (like Beowulf) who went agaisnt a dragon gaurdian of treasures just like the dragon in the Beowulf story. They both also had different kings for each era like the many kings that were described in the Beowulf story.
I would say that Beowulf is like the hero stroies of our modern day. Superman is a perfect example he did not have any weaponry and he was beloved by his whole city same as beowulf. He did not have a fansy outfit like the superheros we have these days he alos didn't have powers or a sidekick but he was like an real guy he was just far from average.
I didn't like the way he did I thought it was crumy after he had all these great victories he dies by a single bit it just showed how human he really was. I also thought that it was noble of him to put his life on the line with no fear for the greater of the people he was a inspiring figure. He had some coward warriors with him who also led to his dimise I think that he had a sense that he would not live through the battle and that made him even more great. He never let the people down. They burned him at the end like he wished and had a ceremony
